ISSTORMUR ehf. is a young family company that involved in the production of finished products and semi-finished products from fish and seafood. We are located in Southwestern Iceland in small town Sudurnesjabaer. That means that we use only natural raw materials freshly caught in Iceland. Iceland is clean and pure, natural and unpolluted. Fish grows in the natural environment, and is not grown on farms. The fish is completely wild, which means it has rich taste and does not have any harmful additives.
We export our products all over the world. We have 2 directions in production, which are realized on two Factories:
We have access to exclusive raw materials. There are limitations on catching of sea cucumbers all over the world. Our Company belongs to the Group which has 4 licenses out of 8 issued by the government of Iceland to catch this product.
Quality of our products – is our main priority. We aim to emphasize the special characteristics of each ingredient and preserve their quality. Another priority is – creation of exclusive and unique products. To realize this goal, we constantly developing our own technologies which we implement on modern equipment - very often developed by ourselves. Our production corresponds to all international standards. ISSTORMUR ehf. has implemented a HACCP system. We really value the careful handling of raw materials and ingredients during production. We want to have all our products not only tasteful but also healthy. That’s why we don’t use ingredients that can negatively affect the health of consumers.

The company has HACCP certification (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) it is a systematic preventive approach to food safety from biological, chemical, and physical hazards in production processes that can cause the finished product to be unsafe, and designs measurements to reduce these risks to a safe level. In this manner, HACCP attempts to avoid hazards rather than attempting to inspect finished products for the effects of those hazards.
